First Go

Thought it was time to colour up some of my new hanglar images that I bought on ebay and also have a go with my prisma pencils on Kraft paper.
I mucked up the background I was doing so I chopped it all off! LOL!   So, this is my first official attempt at prisma colouring, I think I might just have to have another go! The paper is BG Capella, the leafy thing is a Marianne Die and flowers are from Wild Orchid. The sentiment is from Bizzy Becs.

Emboss it!

This week at Southern Girls we want to see some dry embossing! So whip out your cuttlebugs etc and get embossing!

We are being sponsored by Digital Delights and Scrapbook Dreams. The image I have used and coloured with copics is "Little Dumpling in Pram" from Digital Delights.
The paper is Basic Gray Oliver, I've used SU card stock, a cuttlebug embossing folder , bakers twine and button from my stash and the sentiment is from Whimsy...I think!
Now head on over to see the other delights from my teamies at Southern Girls!

Vintage

The challenge this week at Make it Colourful is Vintage Photo- Monochrome, B & W or Sepia . Well, this card turned out to be harder than I thought, but mainly because I overdid the background I think!  Too much going on behind the characters. Anyway, by the time I'd put it together, I wasn't going to start all over again! Arrrgghhh!

I've used Old Oak Tree and Garden Picket Fence (twice!) from  Make it Crafty and  the characters are Lilith & Luca from Tickled Pink . The copics I have used are the warm greys WO, W1, W2, W4, W6, W9 and over it all E50 to add more warmth.
The paper is Kaisercraft, I've used a Tim Holtz embossing folder behind the image , the sentiment is from Bizzy Becs. There's a cuttlebug corner swirl, flower & lace & locket  from my stash, and the heart I cut on my silhouette and used several coats of embossing powder on it! Love it!

Right, now head on over to Make it Colouful to see what the  Colour Addicts have been up to!

Canine ballet!

Yes, I know, I've been a slack blogger the last two weeks, work has been ruling my life. Anyway, that is almost over  and I'll be back to normal next week.

I have to share a photo or two of the boys Brodie & his best mate Solly playing. They have such a great life, I wanna be one of my dogs! LOL! Janie ( Solly's mum)  took these photos while they were romping in her backyard. This first one cracks me up, talk about synchronized! Its a new doggie dance!

Ya put ya left paw in , ya put ya left paw out......

I gonna slobber all over you!

What ya say? Didn't quite catch that!

Woohoo! First Challenge

Yippee! Its finally the first challenge for Make it Colourful! We want you to use either warm or cold colours. That was a no-brainer for me, I find warm colours more my thing.
I've been waiting nervously for this moment, I'm playing with the big guns here and have been dying to see what everyone has created.

I've used a Hanglaar image that was sent to me and I had a wee bit of trouble with the copics bleeding so please don't look too closely! LOL!
The background image is from Make it Crafty and its called Daffodil Dell and you can purchase it here
My clouds I did with copics, following  guidelines  from the amazing Annika's blog. I think I need more practice !  Annika  has a tutorial at this link .

The paper is K & Co, flowers from my stash and the green fuzzy swirl is one I cut out with my silhoutte cutter ( I love this toy!!!!) , inked with various  distress inks, covered in flowersoft, then sprayed with glimmermist.  I really like the grassy texture of it ! The button is from my stash, and I bought some bakers twine cos everyone seems to have it at the moment!
Right, now hop on over to the challenge blog and check out the ab fab creations my talented teamies have produced!

Toys! I love them!

OMG I have a new toy and I'm having so much fun!  Its a digital negative scanner and I have hundreds of negatives of my fathers , taken in the  sixties, some of which have never been printed except onto a proof sheet. Ok, they are getting a bit damaged after all this time but I thought it was time to do something permanent and save what I could. This little wee scanner converts the negatives to digital photos! Check these out!
