Yay for punches!

Sassy Cheryl's challenge this week is to use punches.  I've had this image of hers for a while and been dying to colour it. I got this Bo Bunny paper the other day (...no I haven't been buying...not really...not much anyway.......!!! ) so decided now was the time!   Love these colours.  The punches are MS & SU and have used a nestie as well.   The cardstock is SU and I've coloured with copics, distressed with old paper & weathered wood inks , and finished the buttons with glossy accents. The butterfly is from my stash.
The sentiment is from Raindropecho at Whimsy Stamps. The swirl is a cuttlebug die.

I'm also entering this in  Daisy Doodles- anything goes

Memorial Day

Isabella's sketch book challenge time and its memorial day, or celebrate  the start of summer, in your country's colours. OK, memorial day is not something we celebrate here but as the challenge states, its how you would celebrate Memorial day or the start of summer . Its  a patriotic theme, memorial cards of any type  but with your country's colors. Now, our flag is red white & blue , but we don't really identify with these colours here in NZ. Our sports teams all wear black and / or white.  I almost went all white but then decided to add some flag colours too! And the start of summer...traditionally spent at the beach!  The image is a cutey from Isabellas Sketchbook. That was me in my childhood, I grew up living at the beach, in a beautiful spot in Hawkes Bay, called Mahia Beach .
I've coloured with copics, flowers and buttons are random and cardstock & ribbon is SU .  Pop on over to the challenge blog to see what my wonderful talented teamies have done, and why not join in the challenge. Isabella gives the challenge winner two free digis from her shop and her images are beautiful!
I'm entering this in the Cute Daisy May challenge- as you like it.

Its wet here , dogs are going a bit stir crazy.  Got home from work last night to see another cushion in the rubbish bin. That makes 4 now that Brodie has "terminated" !!!!!  Why DH lets him into the lounge in the first place I don't know! He gets absorbed in whatever he's doing with the laptop and Brodie waltzes off with another treasure to remodel!!!!! Aaaarrrggghh!

Well, there's something buzzing around ted's nose, maybe its a flying button!  The paper, card  and ribbon are SU .  The image is of course a Sassy Cheryl digi which you can find here.

Easy!  Isabella has so many gorgeous digis suitable for any sort of occasion, whether you like cute, vintage, floral, whatever. Check them out here at Isabella's Sketchbook.  I've used the birthday party balloons, coloured with copics and covered with crystal effects. The cake icing is a puff paint , the flowers and leaves are prima and the border punch is MS.  The yummy paper is DCWV Citrus stack.   The sentiment is another freebie digi from Sentimental Sundays.

This week we have an additional prize for the winner. Recognizing that we crafters love our tools - Isabella has added a cuttlebug folder to be included in the prize package.

Masculine time

Ok, I don't make many masculine cards, I guess we all struggle a bit with them but this week over at Karens Doodles UK Challenge blog that is the challenge!  Fortunately Karen has some really cool male images !  Pop on over to the blog to see what the DT has come up with.
This had to be my choice, for some strange reason...can you guess? The paper is Cosmo Cricket , MS punch., SU card , and the sentiment was a freebie digi from Sentimental Sundays .   I had this card set out ready to take a photo, turned around for a sec and turned back in time to see Brodie grab it in his sparkly pearly whites and start to head off outside with it!  @!*!!\?*!   He  obviously though it was for him! He's a boy isn't he?

The story of my life!

Think I might send this card to me! LOL!
This is for a challenge over at Sassy Cheryls Challenge blog, using a sketch and a Sassy Cheryl image. I love this new image, and there is a cat one too. So cute!
The paper is Kaisercraft Peachy keen, the sentiment is Whimsy and I've coloured with copics. The folded tab is a die cut from the paperpack.
Its a crappy afternoon, I'm struggling with a DT card ...fortunately the coffee keeps coming! The dogs are crashed out, what a life!

Don't Believe it!

This dog isn't real! The flowers are still in one piece, the butterfly is still alive!  Ha!
I've made this card using this cute digi from Karen's Doodles . He's called " butterfly puppy" .  I've used BG Kioshi paper, and punched the flowers with retro punches.

Distressed

Aren't Hanglar stamps just so cute?  This image was sent to me by a wonderful blogging friend and I've been ever so nervous about inking up! Took the plunge last night and made this card for a few challenges.              ABC challenge- Unused stash. The paper I've used  I've had for years and never cut it! Its Basic Grey Motifica. Also the flowers are primas I dug out of the bottom of a drawer. And I guess the Hanglar- never used one before!
Pixie Cottage- sketch, including vintage/distressing.
Crafty cardmakers- distressed

I forgot to add in my post yesterday that Brodie has also eaten a lipstick, some business cards and my cute cellphone case! He has such a varied palate!   I've just been out filling in holes and re-turfing where he has torn up the lawn. I know he'll settle, its just a matter of time.......!!! But how long?!!!!!!!!
We had Abbie & Bruno go through the same things but then there were two of them egging each other on so I think they were worse if thats possible!
Oh, and my eye feels better today, no harm done!

Free to a good home!

Brodie aka Brodus the Destroyer has really been pushing his luck the last few days. The other day he dug a hole in the back lawn. Then he ate my jandal. Then he ate a roll of plastic rubbish bags. Then he ate a pad of post-it notes. Then he ate a cushion.
First thing this morning he leapt on the bed and smacked me in the eyeball with his humongous-dinner-plate-size paw. I have a paw print embedded on my retina and I'm sure the eyeball itself is bruised...if that's possible!!!!!!

Oh, but ya gotta love him, with a face like that!  Oh yeah, he ate the poodle's bed that he's lying on there too!

Big day out!

The little boys came with me to an all-day agility demonstration at the Hawera Club Expo yesterday. Big day for all of us and we were all knackered last night!  Vinnie did a couple of runs even though he is retired and Riley was eventually trusted off lead to run a few times . My boys were so good, I was very proud of them. I didn't take Brodie cos there was so much going on around us, with games of rugby league , balls flying everywhere, he would've been out of the ring and off playing league and puncturing balls before I knew it!
Marise took this cool photo of Riley for me. Isn't it cute?!!!!

White out!

I thought this would be a hard challenge but it was fun! Sassy Cheryl's Judy challenged us to use white on white ie no colour except for the image. I've used this cool Sassy girl that I've had for ages but never got around to inking ( wanna guess how many other digis are hiding in my files and never seen the light of day?!) .
I've used punches and cuttlebugs and nesties to decorate this card, a bit of ric rac , dew drops and Rock Candy distress stickles.

I've previously posted pics of Brodie lying in poodle beds much too small for him...well I bought him a big bed. Now Vinnie lies in this huge bed and Brodie.....well, he goes to sleep like this! ROTFLMAO! Yes, he is snoring ,upside down!

and this is Vinnie rattling around in the new bed!
