On a roll

Yes, I have finished another card, this one for the Stampin for the Weekend challenge. The challenge is to make a pocket or wallet card.   I have been so good, using up some of my older paper pieces ( do I get a medal?) .

The paper is SU outlaw from last year , ribbon and card is SU . The image is one of my favourite gorjuss girls, coloured with copics

Bring back summer!

Wow, its a nasty day here, cold, wet, wind from the south, I  don't think the hairy ones will get their walk before I go to work this morning! Poor babies. Riley is still in bed...my bed that is!! Love the tousled look!

Here is my card for the Stamp with Fun challenge, hope I'm still in time. Very girly card....not really my style I think....still, used up some more bits lying around!LOL. Bits of SU paper and card stock, some K & Co, some MME, random flowers , sentiment is SU. Image is a GG coloured with copics ...mmm...must be time to order a few more.....

Scraps

The challenge at High Hopes is to use up your scraps. Ha!  Well, use some of them anyway!LOL! Here is my hippo ( coloured with copics)  that I haven't even used before, on a bed of leftovers! Couldn't resist colouring the toenails and highlighting with crystal effects. Have used SU card stock and a hodge podge of other bits, including SU felt fusion flowers.

We had a fun night at the school hall last night,  making gift cards and boxes, and watching the team assembling their scrapbook pages. So cool girls, wish I had my camera there.  It was hilarious to see them all file outside, each with a page ripped out of a book, where they then proceeded to burn the edges. Fire bugs! The smell of smoke hovered for ages!

Right, done the card, now back to my book...LOL!

Almost missed the post!

Having so much fun ( NOT!) shuffling dogs and handlers around on my screen for our agility show that I almost forgot to finish my card for Stampin for the Weekend.. !!!

I've decided I have lots of scraps of paper to get rid of  so refused to cut into any new sheets this time. Aren't I good? Wont last though! The theme for this challenge was Rock 'N' Roll 60s songs and I chose "Please Mr Postman" , which is probably fairly obvious!  Paper, ribbon and card stock is all SU, the image is one from Rubbadubbadoo ( I think)  and Mr Mouse has been coloured with copics, and his eyes and nose touched up with crystal accents.  The flowers are Stichels stamps coloured with copics , and yes, those are old stamps. Yes..I have a pile of old stamps!

Gav wanted to know what my latest delivered parcel was, "Surely not more STUFF?!@!!!!!" Can never have enuff stuff I reckon!

Krafty

The Sugar bowl challenge this week is a sketch by Lilian and it is to include "Kraft".  Used some DS Kaisercraft paper, SU card stock, Gorjuss Girl coloured with copics , Ribbon by SU and one of my cute bronze flowers and a leaf I found...

Its a bitter day outside, even though the sun has been shining , the wind is icy. We've had such a cold winter so far ( for us!!!) ...the boys  have been snuggled on my bed in the sunshine, both wearing jumpers ! Riley weards a camo jacket cos he can't get it off! He's a real Houdini with knitted jumpers and can get them off in seconds. Vinnie is a big woosie and loves anything that keeps him warm.

Blog Candy

Doodle palace are celebrating 100 sales of their digistamps with this blog candy. Have just purchased a couple of their cuties but haven't had a moment to play...maybe after work today!

Some Sugar

This weeks challenge on A Spoonful of Sugar is a sketch by MichelleO.  Found these cool bronze flower thingies on the net so had to have a go making something with them! My papers are a mix of all sorts including MME , K & Co (which I really didn't want to cut up!) , and Kaisercraft, but the image is a Magnolia courtesy of Denise ( Thanks!) coloured with copics. The cardstock, ribbon and sentiment are SU.

An Award

Thanks to eveyone for the lovely comments on my last card, and its great to see there are a lot of people who love their pets like I do. They are so much fun when they try to help with projects(NOT!) , especially cats , as they like to play with everything then sit on your work! Have finished the crochet flowers for our class, they are now bagged up and OUT of REACH !LOL!

I've been given the Lemonade award by Kimmi, which is to be given to people you feel show great attitude and gratitude.  Isn't that sweet? Thank you Kimmi.

To pass it on,  I would like to give it to Tracy , Denise, Trace..

Quick card

I've found a few minutes to sneak away from my dog show tasks , as I've been having paper withdrawal symptoms . This could be a dangerous condition!@!!!  ..and here is my entry for Stampin for the weekend...well past the weekend! The challenge this time is to use a digital image on your card. This cute one is from Dustin Pike, and I like it cos it shows what happens in our house. Soft toys get unstuffed! Colouring is with copics, paper is BG, stray buttons, cardstock and felt flower from SU.

If it  sounded like I didn't love my wee gingaroo the other day, I was just tired , and a cuddle and a sloppy kiss from Riley was all it took to make it all better. He is a gorgeous wee boy, and still quite immature, so it may take a lot longer to get him competition ready!!! So Trace, you don't need to be on mailbox alert...yet!LOL! Though I was chasing him around this morning when I realised he had stolen my crochet flowers and the cotton I was using,  and had them scattered and tangled, and now I can't find them all (I have 20 to make for our scrapbook class) so will have to get busy again ! Luckily they are quite quick to make! He had a wonderful time, balls of wool and cotton are just made for ratbags like him to destroy!

Nothing to Show

Have been busy at a dog agility show all weekend and I'm exhausted and have made no cards for days ( Boo Hoo!) and I  have all the entries for our show in 3 weeks time to add to the spreadsheet, organise running orders, print number cards, design and print a catalogue...BLAH BLAH BLAH! I don't want this job again! Its stressful and very time consuming! And I always have problems with the catalogue!

And Trace, Riley is being packaged up into a big envelope and being dropped in the mailbox to come to you tomorrow! He is in disgrace. He  had his first competition run today...well, should have been but he got in the ring , saw his favourite girl poodle over the other side and took off towards her. He did come back , only cos he knew I had yummy chicken for treats. He did the first jump then took off again! I won't waste my money entering him again for a while....little toad. I had a cuddle with Riley's 7 week old niece yesterday , and poor Vinnie's face fell when he saw me with her....No!!! Not another ginga! Don't do this to me!

Anyway, early night for me, got a big week at work too, how depressing!

High Hopes

The High Hopes challenge this week is a sketch and this is my attempt. The image is of course High Hopes, the cardstock is SU and the paper is a mix of SU & BG. The ladybird buttons I found at the local quilt shop  ( Clare has some very cute buttons there) .

This stamp makes me laugh, there's no way my dogs would sit smiling beside me with an icecream in their faces....I'd be covered in drool and there'd be many attempts to sneak a slurp!

Frosty start

Didn't want to get out of bed this morning, neither did Riley!LOL! Think its the first time he's seen a good frost and he wasn't impressed. The poor wee gingernut couldn't get back inside fast enough( for those non-kiwis reading this Gingernuts are a classic kiwi crunchy ginger biscuit , great for dunking in tea! ). Dabba however LOVES cold crunchy grass to roll in. I'd love to see her in snow....

Had a busy day yesterday with a large group of ladies at Kai Iwi. We did a workshop with them and had a lot of fun. Hope they all enjoyed themselves!

This card is my entry for the Sugar Bowl challenge this week.  There is a great sketch to follow and I couldn't resist chopping up some of my new MME papers for it. The flower is glimmermisted then distressed, the ribbon I dyed with distress ink, the image is a GG from sugar nellie, coloured with copics.

New Challenge

A new challenge blog started this weekend, called Stampin for the Weekend  and the first challenge is a card in purple and yellow.   Well I thought I'd pick some nice soft tones....EEEK ! Didn't mean to be quite so bright!  The yellow was a piece of prima paintables that I chopped off and sprayed with glimmermist then distressed to try and tone it down a bit ! ( I have to laugh though, our kitchen used to be these colours, and I mean bright!!)   At least I had some cute stray buttons  the same colour to use!  The image is a bella, that I've had for ages and never  used. And NO...I don't dye my poodles pink & purple! LOL!

Card and filigree brad are SU, braid , buttons & flower are from my stash

Busy

Its been a busy week, with one thing and another and I've had this card sitting in pieces since last weekend!  I followed a sketch from Tiets, and used Basic Grey porcelain paper. The image is another gorjuss girl , I've coloured it with SU watercolour crayons. The sentiment is SU. I've used twinkling H2O and crystal accents on the wings, and made the dangle for the flower brad.

I've killed my new printer! Aaarrggh!  So I have all these sketch challenges I'm trying to scribble onto bits of paper....then I can't follow my own drawing! I'm hoping Gav can fix it for me...I wont hold my breath though.  :(

Digi-Monkey

Have finally got around to colouring the cupcake monkey digital stamp I bought  off Dustin Pike's website.  Soo cute!  He has the cutest dragons and monkeys!  Papers and card are SU,so are flowers and buttons, and have coloured the images with copics. ( Have more copics coming soon! Yippee!)

Drove to Palmerston North today and had lunch with my sister. We then shopped for a few hours....I bought a new sewing machine...oooops!  Sposed to be saving money for our expedition to Auckland next month to the papercraft expo......  At least this time I didn't buy more shoes!  I found the drive quite hard going, my shoulder is sore. So no agility training for the boys tonight. Besides, it feels frosty outside and I don't do cold very well.

The mind of Riley

I don't whether its because he's a dog, he's a male, or he's an Aussie ginga or all 3 ( no offense to Australians, really! ) . Take him outside onto the deck when its raining and he'll go " WHAT?!! You want me to go pee in THAT?!!! I'll get wet!" and he'll turn around and head inside.  But take him for a walk after the rain has stopped and he'll head for the longest wettest grass he can find to dive into! Comes out dripping from ears, face, legs, bum, and belly!  AArrgghhh!

This card is my first attempt at a Colour Throwdown challenge....simpler than my usuals, found it hard not to smother it in buttons! Colours are SU Elegant Eggplant, Bordering blue and Barely Banana. The image is another GG, coloured with SU watercolour crayons and copics.

Meatloaf!!

Gav just looked at my caramel oat dessert cake, drizzled with white chocolate and said " Yum! Meatloaf with mozzarella for dinner!"  EEEKKK!!!!!

Secret Crafter

The Secret Crafter Saturday challenge  this week is to use Pink, Turquoise and a hint of brown.  Not my favourite colours so I struggled with this one.   At least I had another GG to play with...still more uninked (by me anyway!!) yet and the rest of the day to go...

Have a white chocolate caramel oatcake in the oven. A new recipe from Jo Seagar.  Love the new recipe book of hers and lots to try yet.
